Eating Well While Sick

I've been sick off and on for a couple of weeks now but thankfully, I still have my appetite. I made my first french toast today which turned out quite well even though I substituted cow's milk with almond milk. It wasn't overly wet but I think I will use less almond milk next time.

French Toast

2 slices of day old whole wheat bread
1 egg
1/3 cup of almond milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon of sugar
a dash of vanilla extract
tiniest pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of butter to fry

Mix egg, milk, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Soak bread on both sides for 10 sec. Fry in hot pan with butter until brown (about 3 min one side and 1 min on other at medium-high heat). Serve with powder sugar, maple syrup, or fruit.
